When relocating to a new area, sometimes, it’s hard to get a feel for the area. Sure it’s great looking at houses online, but what would life actually look and feel like? In today’s driving tour, we explore downtown Germantown, MD!

Why do people move to Germantown, MD?

Germantown is a very popular area due to the lower cost of housing relative to metro-adjacent cities. While the Ride-On public bus system has many stops in the area, the closest Metro station is at Shady Grove in Rockville/Derwood, MD.

Nature-lovers enjoy easy access to parks like Seneca Creek State Park (home of the Winter Lights Festival during the holiday season), Gunners Lake, and Black Hill Regional Park (one of our local favorites).

Activities for children and families are plentiful with the Germantown SoccerPlex, MiniGolf & Splash Park, archery (a family favorite), as well as many local activities!
